Ethel "Irene" Smith Obituary
Ethel “Irene” Smith, age 78, of Clarksville, TN passed away on Wednesday, December 10, 2025.
Celebration of Life will be held at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, December 16, 2025 at McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home with Bro. Tay Joslin officiating. Burial will follow at Little Hope Baptist Church cemetery.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 11 a.m. until the hour of service at the funeral home.
Irene entered this life on July 31, 1947 in Oneida, TN to the late Benton McMillan Stanley and Nora Acres Stanley. She was a dedicated Nurse, a Christian, and a member of the Montgomery County Republican Women of TN.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, US Army Maj. Ret. Edward Allen Smith.
Survivors include her sons, Brian Edward Smith and Nathan Allen Smith, and sisters, Jean Marlow, Nellie Shanks, Cathy Cannon, Naomi Bryan, and Debbie Griffin.
Arrangements are in the care of McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home, 1209 Madison St, Clarksville, TN.
