Ethelrene Burns Obituary

Affectionately known as "Sang," because her true passion was singing gospel songs and directing her Church's A Cappella Choral group. She earned an Associate of Arts Degree in Music from Houston Community College. By trade, she was a Cosmetologist and owner of Ethel's Beauty Salon for over 50 years.
Ethel was preceded in death by her husband, of 43 years, Otis Lee Burns, retired District Chief of the Houston Fire Department. She is survived by her only child, Cassandra Burns Reynolds (Gregory); and only grandson, Everett Burns.

My sincerest condolences to the family. I will always have fond memories of Mrs. Burns, her red beauty shop, white dogs, beautiful voice and spirit.
She was a true role model growing up and I will never forget her.
