On March 8th, 2024, Etta "Marie" Chaffman passed away. Born on August 6th, 1930 to the late Anna and late William Gardner, she was the loving wife of the late Richard E. Synder, Sr., and the late Raymond F. Chaffman; devoted mother of Richard E, Snyder, Jr. and wife Dawn, Charlene M. Gunter and husband Rob, caring stepmother of Diane Jarels and husband Sam, and Deborah Chaffman; cherished grandmother of Angie, Ricky, Brittany, Samantha, Little Rob, the late Raymond, Jr., Sam, Jr., Breanna, and numerous great grandchildren.

A viewing will be held at the family owned Ambrose Funeral Home of Lansdowne, 2719 Hammonds Ferry Rd., on Wednesday, March 13th from 3 PM to 5 PM and from 7 PM to 9 PM, where a funeral service will be held on Thursday, March 14th at 10 AM. Interment to immediately follow at Loudon Park Cemetery.
