Eugene "Gene-O" Bashrum

Eugene "Gene-O" Bashrum was born February 7th, 1971 in Dayton, Tx to Janice Bashrum and Otis "Gene" Bashrum. He passed away peacefully on July 9th, 2023 at 1:58 pm. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend. He enjoyed Duck Hunting with his son, offshore fishing with his Wife, and going on vacation with his family. He spent most of his time taking his grandson Dawson riding on his golf cart. He was a longtime member of River of Life in Port Vincent, and dearly beloved by his Church community. He was passionate about his faith in Jesus Christ, and loved sharing his faith with others. His favorite scripture was Acts 4:12. It states, "Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved."
He is survived by: His wife of 33 years, Robin Bashrum; Son Dillon Bashrum(Victoria); Daughter Baily Bashrum; Mother Janice Bashrum; Father Otis Bashrum (Gene); Grandchild Dawson Bashrum; as well as nephew Chris Neal; Niece Cynthia Neal Brown(Mike); Uncle Dale Neal; Cousins Shelly and Stephanie Ferguson; his brother Terry Wayne Grigsby(Sandy); brother Rodney Dale Grigsby, and other cousins/family members. He is preceded in death by one nephew (Sidney Neal) and one brother (Bobby Joe Grigsby), grandparents Betty Blevins and Terrell Neal, and Ola Mae Anderson.
Fellowship and visitation will be held at River of Life Worship Center from 10:00am until Celebration of Life Service at 11:00am on Saturday, July 15, 2023. Lunch will be served at 12:30pm.
