Eugene Bonstein Obituary
Born in Newton NJ on September 1, 1941, he was a son of the late Eugene Bonstein and Irene Rimer Bonstein.
He was a retired Partner of Deloitte & Touche, working in New York City for most of his career. He retired to Brick Landing in Ocean Isle Beach in 2000 where he and his wife Elsa built a home on Hole #3. An avid golfer, Bonstein won 10 Club Championships at three different clubs during his lifetime. He was past President of the Brick Landing Master Association and former Chairman of the Brick Landing Men's Golf Association.
Surviving is his wife, Elsa Latomaa Bonstein; daughters, Karen Welch (married to Kevin), Richmond, VA, Cora Pedrazzi (married to Robert), Richmond, VA, Kimberly Campbell (married to Kelly), Mason Neck, VA, and Terri Young (married to Donald), Leesburgh, VA. He has one sister, Carole Luke; ten grandchildren and one great-grandson.
A Celebration of Life will be conducted on Monday, May 29 (Memorial Day) at 12:00 Noon at Calabash Covenant Presbyterian Church, 8820 Old Georgetown Rd. SW, Sunset Beach, NC 28468. Lunch will follow at the church.

Gene was our Phi Kappa Psi fraternity advisor at Monmouth university, as well as a tutor for many of our accounting majors. After a graduation, I was fortunate enough to work with Gene at Deloitte, and ultimately became one of his partners. Condolences to the family, and rest in peace Gene.
