Eugene Broyle Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Highland Park Funeral Home and Crematory on May 7, 2025.
Ephraim Eugene Broyle Jr., affectionately known as Eugene, was born to Ephraim E. Broyle Sr. and Laura M. Broyle (Williamson). He departed this life on May 6, 2025, at the age of 71.
Originally from Memphis, Tennessee, Eugene moved with his family to Kansas City, Missouri, during his early childhood. He was a proud graduate of Central High School in Kansas City. Following graduation, Eugene built a career in the service industry, holding positions with 7-UP, Yellow Cab Company, and Crown Center, among others.
A devoted Christian, Eugene accepted Christ at a young age. Upon relocating to Kansas City, he became an active member of Bethesda Missionary Baptist Church in the Leeds community, where his uncle, the late Pastor Melvin T. Broyle, led the congregation and his father served as a Deacon. Later in life, Eugene joined Oak Grove Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Rev. Kim Gladney.
Eugene was known for his generous heart and radiant smile. He deeply loved his family and friends and enjoyed simple pleasures-especially the cherished family pastime of fishing.
He will be lovingly remembered by his brother Tony Snow; nieces: Lynn Palmer, ReAnna Broyle, Aleta "Pooh" Hayes (husband, Larry), Angel Snow, and Patricia Taylor; and his sister-in-law, Julie Broyle.
Eugene was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Nancy Broyle; his parents, Ephraim and Laura Mae Broyle; step-mother, Esther Broyle; his brothers, Ronnie Broyle and Kenny Snow; and his sister, Sheliah Snow.
Eugene's legacy of kindness, faith, and family devotion will continue to live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 13, 2025 from 10:00am-11:00am at Highland Park Funeral Home. Services to begin at 11:00am. Burial in Highland Park Cemetery following services.
