Gene was my barber when I was a kid in the Waverly area of Baltimore, MD. I have very distinct memories of my dad taking me to the barber shop back in the 1960´s. R.I.P.

As a boy in my early teens Gene 'hired' me to sweep hair and clean up in the barber shop. I learned SO much about life there, and from him! From the old gents who gathered there to chat and read the news paper, to the cutting wit sense of humor Gene enjoyed... he was always so kind to all that passed his way. Thank you Gene, you were a main character in my childhood!
