Eugene A. Castelli

I had the distinct pleasure of meeting Eugene at St. Johnland. I was his food and nutrition director. I'd only knew Eugene for a very short time, however, sir, you left a profound impression of how a gentleman should be. I will indeed carry you with me for the rest of my life, as just thinking about you right now makes me smile. Gene, I came back to St. Johnland after I left, one of my reasons was to simply say hello to you and check in on you. Your smile, handshake and salute again made my two-hour ride from Jersey more than worth it. You sir, I am going to dearly miss and yet I know I am a better person having had the pleasure of simply meeting you and enjoying our handshakes and salutes.

Rest in Peace Sergeant and thank you for allowing me the opportunity to be a very small part of your life.
