"Heroes get remembered, but legends never die." It is with deep love and sorrow that we announce the passing of Eugene Michael Cervini, a devoted husband, father, and Papa, who left this world on September 1, 2025, surrounded by the family he so dearly cherished.
Gene was the pillar of our family-steady, strong, and endlessly giving. Married for 48 years and dating for 57, he shared his life with his beloved wife, Lorene, building a home filled with laughter, love, and countless memories. As a father and grandfather, he led with warmth, wisdom, and a gentle spirit, leaving an indelible mark on the hearts of all who knew him.
An architect by trade, Gene was both a dreamer and a craftsman. He found joy in sketching ideas, designing spaces, and bringing visions to life. His love for drawing and building was more than a career-it was a reflection of how he lived: always creating, always imagining, always working toward a brighter future for his family.
For over 40 years, Gene thrived in the construction industry. He designed models, launched a screen business, and completed countless residential and commercial projects. He also built Grace Contracting alongside his son, a venture that reflected both his craftsmanship and his commitment to family. Gene worked alongside many relatives throughout his career, and construction was not only his livelihood but also his passion-one he pursued with remarkable dedication.
Outside of work, Gene cherished time with his friends and family. He enjoyed watching westerns, tending to the koi in his pond, playing golf with his sons and taking peaceful boat rides on the river in Florida. A lifelong artist, he was passionate about drawing and, in recent years, discovered a gift for watercolor painting-a talent his loved ones admired deeply. Whatever he pursued, Gene immersed himself fully, making everyone around him feel seen and valued.
Gene will be remembered not only for his many talents and accomplishments but also for his kindness, patience, and unwavering love. His legacy of strength, creativity, and devotion will live on in the hearts of all who were blessed to know him.
He is survived by his wife, Lorene; his three sons and their wives, Christopher and Bridget, John and Stacie, and Robert and Nina; and his 11 treasured grandchildren: Giancarlo (8), Valentina (8), Charlize (6), Angelina (6), Alessandra (6), Jocelyn (5), Elliana (4), Francesca (4), Brooklyn (3), Carmine (2), and Natalie (9 months).Gene is also survived by his siblings, Louis and Veronica, and by many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and cousins across the country. He will be remembered by the many extended family members he welcomed into his heart as his own. Family and friends are invited to gather and celebrate the life of a man whose dreams, love, and guidance will never be forgotten. Gene is-and always will be-a legend in our hearts.
