Dear family of Gene,
I was deeply saddened to hear about the passing of Gene Ciliberti. I had the privilege of connecting with him through a Korean War veterans group on Facebook when I was seeking to learn more about the American experience in the conflict. As my great uncle was a Chinese soldier during the war, I found Gene's perspective particularly valuable and eye-opening. He not only shared his personal story but alsobroadened my own understanding of the war. His words allowed me to see the conflict from a viewpoint I hadn't fully considered before, reshaping my perspective on the war´s history and the people who lived through it.
I was able to share Gene´s insights with my family in China, which surprised them and led to a deep conversation that ultimately changed their views as well. For this, I will always be grateful. His willingness to engage and share had a lasting impact on me and others.
Please accept my deepest condolences. Gene´s memory will live on through the stories and lives he touched, including mine.
Sincerely
Lily

Rick, Maria, and Rachel--I am so sorry to hear of your Dad's passing. I am your cousin Bob Iocco (son of Lucille--your Dad's big sister). He was truly "one of a kind"--who had it all --looks, brains, and success-but-I will always remember him as my Uncle Ritchie-fun, positive, and smart. I used to refer to him as the "family treasure"--always willing to listen and give helpful guidance and counsel. He was the youngest and last of the Ciliberti's to pass--and the best!
