Please join in honoring the memory of U.S. Army Air Forces Staff Sgt. Eugene J. Darrigan, a proud native of Wappingers Falls, who made the ultimate sacrifice for our nation.
Staff Sgt. Darrigan was tragically KIA over the Pacific on March 11, 1944. After over 80 years, his remains have been discovered and will finally be returning home. This is a momentous and deeply moving occasion as Eugene will be laid to rest with the honor he so greatly deserves.
Everyone is invited come together as a community to witness this profound moment and pay your respects to a true hero. Let us stand united to give Eugene the heartfelt homecoming he has long awaited.
