Lorraine, Sorry to hear of your loss. I'm not exactly sure, but I know we are somehow cousins. My grandfather, Michael and I imagine your grandfather were brothers ? I know they were both in the music business and we were from NYC. I'm doing family research and came across this notice. My mothers family were the Iorio's from New Jersey. Again sorry for your loss. Would love to speak with you.

Gene was a gifted teacher and musician. I will keep great memories of music at the De Bellis studio on Bloomfield Avenue in Newark. He will be remembered by many as a lover of the arts and all things Italian.

Dear Lorraine and Cindy,

I am incredibly sorry to learn about Genes passing. He was a wonderful man and teacher.
I have fond memories of the DeBellis School of Music and the times we spent practicing and competing at the Governor Morris lnn. I took lessons with the school in the early 70s.
My thoughts and prayers go out to you and your entire family.

Dear Lorraine, Cindy, and family, I am so sorry about the passing of Gene. He was more than just my music teacher, he became like an uncle, or maybe more like an older brother. His smile and gentleness will be sorely missed. My prayers are with you and the family. May God Bless his soul. Love, Warren Di Bernardo

Dear Lorraine and Cindy, my heart goes out to you. Genes love for you and all his family was the love that only a wonderful husband, father and grandfather can give. He will be watching over you every day. The angels carried him home to his Lord, but his love now lives forever in each of your hearts.

So many memories, so many years! Eugene DeBellis was such a wonderful person. He was a master teacher, musician, mentor, and friend. He was dedicated to his family, his God and his church. A talented musician he was also dedicated to his students. He taught so many so much more than music. Gene will be missed, He was truly a kind and gentle man who led by example. We were blessed to have known him.
