Eugene was Born on September 22, 1957, to Willa Mae Dunning and the late Eugene C. Dunning Sr. in Wilmington, Delaware. Eugene received his early education in Wilmington public schools and graduated from P.S. Dupont High School, class of 77’. Eugene was a courageous man serving 3 years in the National Guard of the United States. He had the opportunity to travel to Germany.

Eugene better known as “Curt” to his family and friends. Curt could be described as respectful and dedicated by his coworkers. Curt worked in dietary becoming a beloved staple at Foulk Manor North (Foulk Living) for 13 years.

Curt was best known for being a provider by his family. Displaying his cooking skills often and taking pride in his infamous lasagna. Curt found joy in cooking for his family and close friends.

Curt was preceded in death by his father Eugene C. Dunning Sr., son Curtis Dray Gregory, and brother in law Dennis M. Taylor. Curt leaves to cherish his memory his mother Willa Mae Dunning, Three sisters Deborah Taylor, Linda Dunning, and Darlene Spruill. He is survived by his daughter Atiya Gregory-Miller (Duwon), step-Daughter Tamiya Gregory, and son Kwamane Finch. Curt leaves behind 9 grandchildren Davon Gregory, Tayvonna Miller, Talajah Miller, Duwon Miller Jr.,Rashaad Crumpler, Curniah, ahmah, Nazeer, Masood, and Xori Finch. 2 Great-Grandchildren Kapri and Culito. Curt leaves his nephew Dennis M. Taylor, Daewann Stallings, and Closest Friends Raymond Grant, David Grant, Joseph Howard (Butch). Lastly, Curt leaves his special friend Robin Finch.

The family will hold a private celebration of life.
