Back during our junior tennis days in Ft. Worth, Gene took me for a drive in his Corvette. We hit 105 mph on University Drive, on our way to Carlson's. Totally terrifying!

I knew Gene when we were junior tennis players in Ft. Worth. We were tooling down University Drive in his Corvette, going 105 mph! I was terrified! But he was a fun guy. Jim Shelton

I am so sorry to hear of Gene's passing. He was such a kind and generous man, and Art and I were fortunate enough to get to know him personally and spend some time with him at his "castle." My heartfelt condolences to his family.

I had the honor to keep Gene looking his best since 1990. I always enjoyed him coming in and getting his hair cut and in the later years trimming his beard too that I really didn't like. He would always take me to Ridglea CC for a cocktail and dinner afterwards.
I was scheduled to go to his home to and cut his beard and hair on Monday January 13th but he called and said he was in the hospital. I visited him January 16th at the hospital. From a hairdressers view, our clients are like family. We know all the things, good and bad. Gene will always have a special place in my heart!
My family loved Gene and helped him build the retaining wall at his beautiful home on Eagle Mountain Lake. We are all filled with great sadness of his passing and he will be missed tremendously. Rest in Paradise, Gene.

I had the opportunity to work with Gene as opposing counsel on several cases. While we did not always agree, he was always a gentleman, and I am so sorry to hear of his passing.
