Eugene "Gene" Goldpaint

Eugene "Gene" Goldpaint, age 82, passed away peacefully with his loving family by his side on October 10, 2025.
Gene is survived by his devoted wife of 44 years, Madeline (née Kelly); his daughter, Coleen Volksdorf (Christopher); and his cherished grandchildren, Kevin Liedtke and Kylie Volksdorf. He is also lovingly remembered by the large Kelly family, who embraced him as one of their own, along with many cousins and dear friends.
Gene loved his family deeply; his wife, daughter, son-in-law, and grandchildren were the center of his world. Known for his quick wit, warm heart, and knack for lighting up any room, Gene was truly the life of the party. He never took himself too seriously and could make anyone laugh with his stories, songs, and one-liners.
A lifelong sports fan, Gene especially loved horse racing and cherished his annual trips to the Preakness Stakes. Sundays were often reserved for cheering on the Philadelphia Eagles, and summer evenings for watching the Phillies - two teams that brought him endless excitement and joy. He'll be fondly remembered as a great dancer, singer, comedian, and a man who lived with humor, heart, and unwavering dedication to his loved ones.
Relatives and friends are invited to Gene's Life Celebration on Sunday, October 19, 2025, from 11:00 AM to 12:30 PM at Boyd-Horrox-Givnish Life Celebration Home, 200 W. Germantown Pike, Norristown, PA 19401. A prayer service will begin at 12:30 PM.
Following the service, family and friends are invited to a luncheon and game gathering to celebrate Gene's life - watching the Eagles together, just the way he would have liked it.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Abramson Cancer Center or the Reading Hospital Foundation – Nursing Excellence Fund.
