Eugene Parker James

Eugene Parker James, 68, was born on April 6,1957, in New Brunswick NJ to Taylor Jones and Beatrice James. Growing up in central NJ and graduating from New Brunswick High School. Eugene went on to further his education attending Bishop College in Texas, and California for a short period. Later, returning to New Brunswick NJ. Eugene affectionately known as "Gene" had a passion for music, as he was a DJ at a few local bars in the New Brunswick Area in the 80's. Eugene also loved sports and was a dedicated coach for pop Warner football and baseball in New Brunswick NJ. Eugene was a correction officer at the Middlesex County Juvenile Detention Center in North Brunswick NJ for 25 years before he retired. He is predeceased by his father Taylor Jones, Grandparents Calvin and Ruth James, Brother - Kenneth "Naim" James, Uncles Oliver Fisher, Robert, Samuel, Alan and Clarence James. He leaves to cherish his memory: His mother Beatrice James, one uncle -Parker James, two brothers Ralph and Carl (Kim) James, four sisters, Darlene James, Kim (Isaac) Shockley, Karen (Andre) Williams and Carla Jones. Six children: Eugene and Tyree Aeriel, Talya Carter, Lisa Baskerville, Andrea Lambert and Shamar Dudley. Grandchildren and a host of nephews, nieces, relatives and friends. On April 16th family and friends will gather to lay Eugene to rest at Elmwood Cemetery Association, 425 Georges rd. North Brunswick Township, NJ 08902.
