Age 84, of Maplewood, passed away on July 17, 2025.
Preceded in death by parents, Stanley & Rose Markowski; sisters, Elaine Langiewicz, Virginia Langiewicz, Dorothy Ranallo, Marion Burnzynski; brothers, Stanley Markowski, Jr. & Francis Markowski; and his beloved Akita, Baron.
Gene was a proud father, grandfather, business owner of First Landmark Builders for 31 years. He loved traveling, especially to Mexico. His biggest joy was spending time with his family and enjoying quiet mornings with coffee, overlooking Kohlman Lake in Maplewood and Lake Wissota in Chippewa Falls. Gene enjoyed playing Bridge, talking with everybody and always leaving an impression. He always enjoyed a good meal and was a great cook.
Survived by children, Bradley Markowski, Alyssa (Dave) Endrizzi, Rachelle (Jason) Netland and their mother, Patricia Paul; and grandchildren, Nathan, Grace, Daniel & Ryan Endrizzi and Lyndsey & Lauryn Netland.
Visitation 10:00 - 11:00 am Wednesday, July 23 at Mueller-Bies Funeral Home (Roseville), 2130 N. Dale St. at County Rd. B followed by a memorial service at 11:00 am.
Interment to follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, followed by a meal.
In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to the Stanley-Boyd School District Scholarship Fund.
