Eugene Clyde "Jimmy" Patillo

Eugene Clyde Patillo, lovingly known as Jimmy, passed away peacefully on Monday, April 28, 2025, at his home, surrounded by his devoted family. He was 80 years old.
Born on January 25, 1945, in Waco, Texas, Jimmy was the proud son of Addie Fae Brazier and the second of six siblings. From a young age, Jimmy had a strong work ethic and a love for the outdoors. He got his start working the horse stables at the local rodeo-a job that not only fed his spirit but also introduced him to the love of his life, Susie Patillo. The two married on October 3, 1968, and built a beautiful life together that spanned more than five decades.
Jimmy went on to become Director of Operations for several hospitals throughout his career. He was dedicated to his work and took pride in making a difference-but nothing meant more to him than his family.
He found joy in the simple pleasures of life: camping trips, fishing excursions, and cheering on his favorite hockey team, the Dallas Stars. A true cowboy at heart, Jimmy had a soft spot for old John Wayne Westerns. But his absolute favorite way to spend time was cruising the open seas hand-in-hand with Susie, the woman who always made his heart smile.
Jimmy was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 54 years, Susie Patillo; his mother, Addie Fae Brazier; his in-laws, Joseph and Betty Richard; his sister, Pat Reneau; his brother, Timmy Brazier; and his nephews, Jeffrey Brazier and John Green.
Jimmy leaves to cherish his memory:
His three children-son James Patillo and wife Angela; daughters Brandy Nicol and husband Blair, and Betsy Scroggins and husband Richard.
His nine grandchildren-Brittany, Justin, James, Heather, Colton, Trevor, Carter, Ricky, and Spencer.
His six great-grandchildren-Autum, Bailey, Addy, Charlotte, Jameson, and Sophia.
His brothers-Tony and Hollis.
Susie's eleven brothers and sisters and spouses, who lovingly accepted him as a big brother.
As well as countless nieces, nephews, and dear friends who were blessed to know him.
A celebration of Jimmy's life will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
