Eugene R. Pawlak, age 86, of Cudahy, formerly of Withee, passed away on Friday, October 28, 2022.
A Prayer Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, November 4, 2022 at the Maurina-Schilling Funeral Home in Owen. Burial will follow at Riverside Cemetery in Withee. Family and friends are welcome from 1:00 p.m. until time of service Friday at the funeral home. The family will hold a Celebration of Life at Reggie and Jerry's in Cudahy at a later date and family will be notified by word of mouth.
Eugene was born on June 22, 1936, the son of Steve and Helen (Rzetelny) Pawlak in Withee. He was united in marriage to Shirley Czeshinski on July 11, 1959. Eugene worked in automotive industry in Milwaukee for many years.
Eugene lived a life that every country song sings about. He was married for 63 years to the love of his life, Shirley. Eugene started a beautiful family with two children who gave him six grandchildren and eighteen grandchildren. You could always count on him to have the run down on all the daily news. He enjoyed that old rocker of his and his Sunday paper.
Eugene wasn't always a man with many words, but when he had something to say he said it without any filter or hesitation. He loved truck driving and working on cars. He's had a long run with millions of miles under those feet with a few tune ups along the way. Eugene was so deeply loved by his family and will be missed every day.
Eugene is survived by his wife, Shirley; two children: Gene Pawlak and Beth (Tom) Fons; six grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren; a brother, Steve Pawlak, Jr; a sister-in-law, Lois Grajek; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents; two brothers: Leonard (Catherine) Pawlak and Calvin Pawlik and sister, Angeline (Joel) Bennett.
