Barbara, l am so sorry for your loss. Brother Gene was such a wonderful person. You and your family will be in my prayers. May God be with all of you during this difficult time.

He was such a sweet man and beautiful Christian. He and his wife were always so sweet to us at Centenary in Danville. Peace and comfort for your family

My first year in the methodist ministry in 1983 i was sent to Robert's chapel Methodist church in Nicholasville and Gene Shields at that time was the lay leader and what a tremendous help he was to me so kind and gentle and loving a person. May God bless all his family. JIM PEYTON

Barbara, we are so sorry to here about Bro Gene, he was our pastor at Elkhorn Methodist Church in Taylor Co, he also married our son Chase and Tasha Walls and done amazing job, we all thought a lot of him. Prayers for you and your family during this very difficult time
