Eugene Sparks

Eugene Sparks, age 89, passed away on Wednesday, February 25, 2026 in Canal Winchester, OH. He was born on October 7, 1936 in Kentucky to the late William and Hattie Mae Sparks, the youngest of 14 children in his family. Eugene served in the U.S. Army. He was a longtime member of Joyce Ave. Church of God. He enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. Eugene was preceded in death by his parents, William and Hattie Mae Sparks; 13 brothers and sisters; sons, Donald Havens and Steve Sparks. He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Beverly Jean Sparks; children, Bev Sparks, Brandon Sparks, and Allan Sparks; many grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, and many friends. A memorial gathering will be held Monday, March 2, 2026 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. at the MYERS-WOODYARD FUNERAL HOME, 587 Main St. in Groveport, OH. Military Honors will be rendered at 3:30 p.m.
