Evans Funeral Home of Jefferson announces the death of Mr. Eugene "Gene" Edward Usalavage, age 86 of Lavonia, Georgia who entered rest Wednesday, August 27, 2025. Mr. Usalavage was born in Shenandoah, Pennsylvania the son of the late Joseph John Uscilowicz and the late Julia Palubinsky Usalavage. Mr. Usalavage was of the Catholic Faith and was a retired Building Contractor. In addition to his parents Mr. Usalavage is preceded by a son, Daniel Robert Usalavage.

Survivors are his loving wife of sixty-two years, Patricia Holcombe Usalavage of Lavonia. Two sons, Sam Usalavage (Shannon) of Carnesville, Michael Usalavage of Denver. Daughter, Sheri Taylor-Emery of Snellville. Nine grandchildren and six great grandchildren also survive.

In accordance with the wishes of Mr. Usalavage, his remains have been cremated and no public service is planned.
