Dr.Koritz was not my doctor but was working on a formula of medication to safely wean me off a hospice dose of Transdermal Duragesic time release medication and worked while he was out of his office@home recovering and on medical leave which when he returned was suppose to transfer me frm my nyc pain doctor to his practice&had Dr.Kansel&Dr.Suddaby to implant my pain pump when Dr.Koritz then broke his foot in a fall so again he was on extended med.leave.then suddenly retired in the middle of me buying another house in Greece,NY so we were disconnected and I´m shocked to hear this news of lung cancer&will never find a doctor good enough or kind enough or honest enough to be my treating pain doc.I am@a great loss to not have had the opportunity to meet him in person or become his patient other than speaking with him over the phone the entire summer of 2013.My condolences to his wife and daughter that I´m sure is missing him and at a greater loss of his presence than myself and my gratitude for even being able to work with Hans Koritz on my disabling condition and his genius of research&planning was exceptional&again I quote there will not be another great doctor as great as Dr.Koritz to be my treating physician&I am at such a loss.May god bless his soul&spirit&may he rest in eternal peace. My genuine regards, Kim Del Tufo
