Eugene Webb

Eugene Webb, 78, of Rock island, Illinois, passed away Monday, February 13, 2023, at home.
Services are 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, February 22, in the Horizon Room at Trimble Funeral Home at Trimble Pointe, 701 12th Street, Moline, with Dr. Melvin Grimes officiating. Visitation is one hour prior to services. Burial is in Chippiannock Cemetery, Rock Island. Memorials may be made to the family.
Eugene was born on January 25, 1945 in Brenham, Texas, the son of Jim and Josephine Webb.
Mr. Webb had been employed at the former International Harvester and later retired from X Pac.
He loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He also enjoyed fishing, cooking and was always fixing things around the house.
Survivors include his daughters, Ebbie B. Gathright and Schamlain "Denise" Gathright; grandchildren, Leevontae Gathright, Breontae Gathright, Malik Gathright, Arianna Hare, Kenyetta and David; sister, Claira Kemp; brother Dennis Webb and a host of great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Jim and Josephine; adopted son, Isaiah; significant other, Doris Gathright; sisters, Alma Webb, Gladys Webb-Graves, Pearline Smith; brothers, Robert Webb, Jessie James Webb, Ernest Webb and Willie Webb.
