Eugenio Valentin

Eugenio Valentin was born in Isabella, Puerto Rico on November 15, 1933. Losing his father and two siblings at the age of 12, he worked hard to support his mother and surviving siblings to overcome extreme poverty. In his mid-20's he moved to New York City and eventually met the love of his life, Connie Valentin. They married on May 3, 1969, in the same church he would come to pastor for fourteen years after earning a degree in Theology. Eugene and Connie retired and moved to Clearwater, Florida in 2004. There, he fell in love with Golf and achieved a hole in one, just a few years after his first game.
Eugenio is predeceased by his oldest daughter Tilza Buschner who was married to Paul Buschner.
He is survived by his wife Connie Valentin, his children Jose Valentin and his wife Magaly of Titusville, FL, Diane Tancredi and her husband Trevor of Poughkeepsie, NY and Karen Valentin of New York City. He is also survived by his nephew Kevin Burke of Madison CT, who Eugenio viewed as a second son. He leaves behind 6 grandchildren,- Jose Jr Valentin, Joel Valentin, Melody Buschner Joy Hoag, Brandon Griffin and Tyler Griffin - and 7 great-grandchildren.
Eugenio Valentin lived an inspirational and beautiful life just two months shy of his 90th birthday. He lived to love and serve others.
