Gephart Funeral Home - Bay CityEunice Bauer passed away Thursday morning, March 19, 2026 at Symphony Tri-Cities. Age 88 years. The daughter of the late William and Lydia (Haag) Kloha was born December 15, 1937 in Bay City. On December 31, 1955 she married Roy W. Bauer and he preceded her in death on September 26, 2014 after 58 years of marriage. She was a baptized and confirmed member of St. John Lutheran Church of Amelith. She lovingly dedicated her life to her family. She enjoyed camping, boating, fishing and playing cards with family and friends. She loved the life of being a stay-at-home wife, mother and grandmother to be available whenever her family needed her. The role of grandma gave her great joy in her life.
Eunice is survived by her children, Peggy Herbolsheimer, Gail (Ronald) Campbell; five grandchildren, Scott (Judy) Herbolsheimer, Susan (David) Meier, Brian (Molly) Herbolsheimer, Courtney (Ryan) Young and Carissa (Matthew) Gorris; 15 great grandchildren; two sisters-in-law and one brother-in-law, Marlene Lambert and Irene (Ernie) Gradowski, many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by her son, Curtis Bauer and daughter, Nancy Bauer, son-in-law, Philip Herbolsheimer, two sisters and brothers-in-law, Phyllis (Richard) Brinkman and Joann (Thomas) Anderson.
Thank you to the staff at Symphony Tri-Cities for the almost five years of compassionate and loving care you gave to Eunice.
Funeral Service will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, April 10, 2026 at St. John Lutheran Church of Amelith. Officiating will be Pastor Phillip Baerwolf with committal following at St. John Lutheran Church Cemetery. Eunice's family will be present at the Church to receive family and friends on Friday, April 10, 2026 from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the service. Those planning an expression of sympathy are asked to consider a memorial contribution to St. John Lutheran Church of Amelith.
