Eunice Caroline Greene Elkins 90, of Clarkton passed away on Thursday, October 5, 2023 at home surrounded by her family.
She was a dedicated wife, loving mother of three wild little boys, and “Nanny” to the grands.
All along serving as a role model that brought the best out of anyone she touched.
Eunice was also a devoted member of White Plains Presbyterian church, which she loved very much!
Her passions were many. Crafts, weaving, knitting, crochet, and skill at Calligraphy (fancy writing), envied by many. She was well known for her social butterfly personality. Always the first to hop in a Line dance. Her love of life and joyful spirit will no doubt be missed by all.
Eunice was preceded in death by her mother, (Gladys), father (Zebulon), and 7 siblings, Tommie, Margaret, Vance, Doris, Locke, David, and Kenneth. Also, husband William (Bill) and adventurous son Allyn, daughter-in-law Rhonda and granddaughter Kaitlyn.
Left to cherish her memory are her sons Ashley and Ande, both of Clarkton.
Along with grand-children, Stepanie (Leland), Kyle, (Clarkton), and Erika (Whiteville)
Plus, her 2 young pride-and-joy great grandchildren, Sophie and Liam, closely chased by their tired wonderful mother Emily of Whiteville.
To have known Eunice is an honor. She demonstrated compassion, generosity, and gracefulness her entire life.
The family will receive friends from 1-1:45 pm on Monday, October 9, 2023 at the White Plains Presbyterian Church Fellowship Hall in Council. A funeral service will begin at 2:00 pm in the sanctuary with the Reverend BillyRoy officiating. Services will conclude in the Clarkton Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be sent to the White Plains Presbyterian Church, 6049 White Plains Church Rd, Council, NC 28434.
The family would like to extend their sincere appreciation for the many friends and family that have reached out to them in this most difficult time.
