Obituary published on Legacy.com by Martin Luther King Memorial Chapel - Albany on Apr. 21, 2023.
On Sunday, April 16, 2023, Eunice E. Harvey departed this earth for her eternal resting place. Eunice was the second child born to the late Leonard Albert Sr. (LA) and Eunice Lawrence of
Albany, Georgia.
She was brought up in a Christian home and at an early age on her confession of faith, she joined the Weldon Springs Baptist Church, Baker County, Newton, Georgia under the pastorate of the late Reverend John H. Harris. She was a faithful member and loved leading songs in the Youth Choir.
She received her education in the Dougherty County School System and graduated with the Class of 1966 from Albany High School.
Throughout her years there, she was actively involved on the basketball team. She was united in Holy Matrimony to the late Robert Fields, Jr. This Union was blessed with two children, the late Stephanie Elaine Fields Tyler and Robert Fields, III.
Later years, Eunice relocated to Atlanta, Georgia where she joined the College Park C.M.E. Church. There she served faithfully throughout the years in many capacities. She was President of the Women's Missionary Society, a member of the Stewards Board, and a member of Atlanta Rome Ministers' Spouses.
Eunice met Pastor Joseph Stevens Harvey and on April 2, 1995 they were united in Holy Matrimony. He preceded her in death.
Eunice's favorite pastime was growing flowers, working in her yard, and shopping. She loved creating beautiful jewelry pieces and designing matching outfits. As a woman doth good in her life, she also rejoiced in and enjoyed the fruit of her labor.
Eunice was a dialysis technician for Piedmont Hospital for many years where she worked directly with patients, doctors and staff members. She also worked at Frederick Douglass High School and Tri-City High School in the Administrative Office. Mrs. Harvey was a loved and valuable part of the staff and the students had great love, admiration, and respect for her.
