Mrs Eva Apodaca Vallez

Our mom had a rewarding and beautiful life overflowing in love and compassion of four generations of her family. After 64 years of marriage to her husband Ramon Vallez, they had 5 children, seven grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren. Our mom was born June 12,1929 in Brawley California in the Imperial Valley. She was the 4th child of Jose G. Apodaca and Esther Argandar Apodaca. Eva and Ramon met in Imperial Valley where they were best friends for 2 years before Dad asked for her hand in marriage, they married August 26, 1950, which began a lifelong journey together. Mom could prepare a meal for family and friends that filled the home with delicious aromas of spices and herbs from her garden. She loved her plants, flowers and fruit trees that filled the yard around her, and would enjoy going out to pick the fruits to can, and make jams to give to all her family and friends. Mom also enjoyed knitting blankets, hats and scarves, she used the colors and shades she felt best fit the personality of whom she made it for. Mom was able to see the greatness in everyone she came across, she had a special place in her heart for each and everyone of us who called her Chivivi,Nana, Mom, and Honey. She will never be forgotten and will always live through us and her beautiful memories. Visitation takes place Tuesday 26th of November from 6-7pm with the Rosary following at 7-8pm. Mass takes place the following day Wednesday the 27th at 10:30am St. John's Cathedral in Fresno and she will be laid to rest at St. Peter's Cemetery.
