Eva B. Duffield

Mrs. Eva B. Duffield, 93, died Thursday night (December 30, 2010) at her residence following a short illness. She was a native of Ohoopee, GA but had lived in Waycross since 1996. She was preceded in death by her parents, Remer Duffield and Sudie Rose Holland Duffield and a son, Hugh G. Tyson. She was a retired seamstress. She was a member of Okefenokee Chapter # 474 Order of the Eastern Star and attended Sweat Memorial Baptist Church. Survivors include two sons, William Charles Tyson of Waycross and Ralph Tyson (wife Faye) both of Waycross; three sisters, Rubye Page and Corine Gay both of Savannah, Nilla Schwandt of Jacksonville, FL; five grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; and one great great granddaughter. A funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m. Monday (January 3, 2011) at Music Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery.
