Eva Mae Dyer, born January 13th, 1948, in Painesville, OH, peacefully passed away on October 12th, 2024, in Columbus, OH. A resident of Columbus since 1987, Eva was a beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend to all. Known for her unyielding kindness, she was always willing to help anyone in need. Eva's warmth, generosity, and unconditional love for her family and friends will be greatly missed.
She attended Harvey High School in Painesville, OH, and worked as a receptionist at the Ohio Department of Taxation. Eva was a dedicated member of her church, serving as President of the Choir, Culinary Team, Sr's. Ministry, and Usher Board. She also sang in the Choir and coordinated the Jr. Choir.
Eva was preceded in death by her parents, Catherine Inez Brown and Charles Lee Brown Sr., and her brother, Eddie Carlton Edwards.
She is survived by her loving children, Philip Dyer, Timothy (Latricia) Miller, and John Miller; her cherished grandchildren, Deja Dyer, Darien Miller, Damani Miller, Damaja Miller, Jajuan Miller, Jonae Miller, and Jalen Miller; and her treasured great-grandchild, Toni Thomas. Brother Charles Lee Brown JR. Sister Maybelle White and a host of nieces and a nephew.
Funeral services will be held at Marlan J. Gary Funeral Home (East Location). Eva's memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
