Eva Krieg Obituary
UNION TOWNSHIP - Eva V. Krieg, age 76, passed away on September 26, 2025. She was born on August 19, 1949, to the late Aurelio and Jacinta (nee Samaniego) Villaverde. Eva was the beloved wife of Edward F. Krieg, Jr.; cherished mother of Edward F. Krieg, III and Jacinta A. Krieg; and dear sister of Olimpio Villaverde and the late Renee Villaverde.
Eva was proud to be the first Peruvian woman to earn a Ph.D. in the United States and spent her career as a professor at Xavier University and the University of Cincinnati teaching business management, psychology, and Spanish. Eva enjoyed cycling, running, and playing tennis. Additionally, she loved reading, learning, painting, cooking, and to laugh.
Family and friends may visit on Thursday, October 2, 2025, from 5PM-7PM at Moore Family Funeral Homes - Newtown. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, October 3, 2025, at 10AM at Saint Veronica Catholic Church. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Eva's honor may be made to Hospice of Cincinnati.
