Eva A. McNutt

Eva A. (Frascatore) McNutt, 93, of Hanover, formerly of Rockland, passed away in her daughter Karen Eckl's home on Sunday morning, August 15, 2021, from an ongoing illness. Eva grew up in Watertown, where she was crowned Miss Watertown and was later inducted into the Watertown Hall of Fame in 2008. She had worked as a model at Filenes, but was a florist most of her life, and had belonged to the Rockland and Hanover Garden Clubs, the Red Feather Society and the Rockland Sons of Italy. She donated to up and coming politicians and was a greeter at St. Marys Church in Hanover, where she lived for 40 years. Eva was the beloved wife of the late Chester Charles McNutt. Eva and Chet enjoyed many winter trips to Florida until Chets passing in 2001. In 2019, Eva moved to her daughter Karens home in Carver to spend her final years on the pond. Eva is survived by her children, Karen Eckl of Carver, Arthur and Hazel Eckl of OH, Judith Eckl of Rockland and Kathy Covino of Marshfield. She was the grandmother of Jacqueline Grappi and Kristina Covino and great-grandmother of Louis Covino, Anthony Grappi and Evalina Covino. Visiting hours in the Sullivan Funeral Home, 551 Washington St., Rte. 53, in Hanover, on Friday from 4-6 pm. The family asks that all visitors (family and friends) wear masks and practice social distancing. Funeral Mass and burial at a late date.
