We celebrate the life of Eva Mai Nelson, a kind, no-nonsense woman who delighted in hard work and fresh soil. Her independence and steady spirit were enduring and unmatched.
Born in Portland, Tennessee, Eva quickly learned the value of hard work and endurance.
Eva poured her creativity into an upholstery work stitch by stitch. Sewing cushions, renewing worn chairs, and even tailoring clothes, she turned simple fabric into lasting treasures.
Away from the sewing table, she found calm among blooming flowers.
As her eyesight dimmed, music became her new canvas. Old country tunes and heartfelt gospel hymns filled her days with the same joy she once found in vibrant thread and blossoming roses.
Resilient, creative, hardworking, determined, and honest, Eva lived her life on her own terms.
Eva passed peacefully in Hendersonville, Tennessee, leaving memories that will keep blooming for years to come.
Preceded in death by husband, Harold Eugene Nelson, parents- Ruby Lucille (Summers) Clubbs and Oney Edward Poole, children, Brenda Faye Parker, Terry Gene Majors, Tommy Len Majors, James William Sykes, Jr., siblings, J. R. Poole and Clyde William Poole
She is survived by, daughter, Sheila Mai Majors, sister, Shirley (Poole) Barber Hudson (Scott), grandchildren, Techa Day (Ricky), Jamie Wolf, five great grandchildren, four great great grandchildren, one niece and three nephews
