Eva Katherine Robinette, a spirited soul and beloved matriarch, will be remembered fondly following her passing on November 8, 2025, in Breckenridge, Texas. Born on December 28, 1947, in Roscoe, Texas, to the late James Carson and Hazel Marie (Jaquess) Kerr, Katherine led a life rich in love, creativity, and dedication.
Throughout her years, she found profound joy in riding, training, and showing horses-a passion that spoke to her adventurous spirit. She also embraced the joys of companionship through her beloved dogs and cats. A nurturing gardener, Katherine took great pride in cultivating her own vegetables, often canning her harvests to share with family and friends. An artist at heart, she expressed her creativity through her painting, leaving behind a legacy of beautiful works that reflect her vibrant personality.
Eva is survived by her beloved daughter, Francie Marie Robinette of Ranger, and her son, Michael Kenneth Robinson of Arizona. She cherished her role as a grandmother to Austin Lee Robinette, Aaron Jacob Robinette, Katherine Marie Robinette, Megan Smith, and Carson Phillips, as well as a great-grandmother to Lillie Marie Lopez, Billie Kay Haubert, Calob James Haubert, and Francie Hazel Haubert.
She was preceded in death by her parents and two sons, Everette Carson Phillips and Jack Leo Phillips.
