Eva M. Sheehan

Eva M. Sheehan née Bauer of Park Ridge passed away peacefully on February 8, 2025, at the age of 79.
Born in Mondsee, Austria, to Ignatz and Maria, Eva immigrated to the United States in 1955 as a child in hopes of new opportunities.
She was the beloved wife of the late Hon. Michael F. Sheehan, Jr. They married in 1970 and were blessed with thirty-six years of marriage and four loving children: Michael (Maureen), Timothy, Terrence (Kerry), and Kathleen. There could never be a better, more caring mother. Eva also had an unmatched energy for life and brought a smile to every person she met.
She loved to travel the world, especially her many trips back to Austria, her homeland. Luckily for us, she had a special gift for baking as anyone who ever tasted her Christmas cookies would attest. Affectionately known as Omi, Eva adored each of her nine grandchildren, Margaret, Kathleen, Patrick, Clare, Erin, Michael, Emmett, Niamh, and Julia, with whom she loved to play games and shower with gifts. Dear sister of the late Nikolas, Philip (Anna), and Frank (Switlana), cherished sister-in-law of Maureen (the late Thomas), Regina (James), the late Ellen (the late Daniel), and the late Pierce (Margaret), and fond aunt and cousin of many.
Family was everything to Eva and she was everything to us. Eva will be terribly missed by all but now takes her place among the saints and angels.
Visitation Friday, February 14, 2025 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Ryan-Parke Funeral Home, 120 S. Northwest Highway, Park Ridge, IL 60068.
Funeral Mass Saturday, February 15, 2025, 10:00 at Saint Paul of the Cross Catholic Church, Saint Paul of the Cross, (next door to Ryan-Parke funeral home), 320 South Washington Street, Park Ridge, IL 60068.
Graveside Service to follow at All Saints Catholic Cemetery, Des Plaines, IL.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to Misericordia would be appreciated.
