Eva Lou Vojvodich, 81, of Marion, went home to be with her Lord and Savior, at 5:56 a.m., Monday, November 4, 2024, at her home, surrounded by her children and family.
Eva was born on September 26, 1943, in Marion to Albert L. and Dorothy E. (Jones) Varner. She was united in marriage to Nikola Vojvodich on January 20, 1973, in Cedar Lake, Indiana. They shared 27 years of marriage together, before he preceded her in death on March 5, 2000.
Eva was retired having worked many jobs through out her life. In her younger years, she worked at several factories, Olin Industries in Marion and Reliance Parachute Factory in Indiana. Eva had a servant's heart and was later called to work home health and care for patients in their home. She went on to work at The Lighthouse Shelter in Marion for several years and Marion Carnegie Library, a job she loved.
Eva was a longtime member of Jubilee Tabernacle in Desoto. To know Eva- was to know she loved the Lord. Eva was a faithful servant, prayer warrior and witness to the Kingdom of God and never missed the opportunity to share His word.
Eva's greatest joy in life was being a mother. She was a fantastic homemaker and loved to care for her family and others. She enjoyed cooking while singing in kitchen, sewing, gardening, and reading the word of God. She also enjoyed keeping her nine children in line.
