On the morning of August 7, 2025, Evan Frebowitz fulfilled his mortal test and returned to his Heavenly Father’s arms. Evan was born on February 14, 1985, in Elkins Park, PA, to Farren Epstein and Ken Frebowitz. Evan was born with a disability causing paralysis, but that did not diminish his spirit and determination to do good in the world. Evan was a beloved member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. He loved his calling as a Primary Teacher, leading by example and influencing the lives of the Primary Children. He touched the hearts of everyone he met.

Evan had a passion for Broadway shows and musicals, and loved attending shows with Mom at the Smith Center and other venues around town. Evan’s challenges extended to his voice, but he learned how to compensate and loved singing show tunes, Hymns, and any uplifting music. His dream was to sing for people, and he realized his “bucket list” dream when the Vegas City Opera invited him to sing the finale and lead the troupe on stage in a local presentation of Les Miserables in April 2024. Evan said that was the “happiest moment of my life, even better than the first time I went to California and saw the ocean.”

Evan took several trips to Disneyland, his “happy place”, and loved spending time and communicating with friends across the country. Despite all challenges thrown his way, Evan maintained a positive attitude and sense of humor throughout his days. “God gave me B positive blood to always remind me to be positive!”

Survived by mother Farren Epstein and father Ken Frebowitz, brother Aaron Frebowitz (wife Ava Frebowitz) and nieces Cora and Estela Frebowitz, and half-brothers Alex and David Frebowitz (mother Louise Frebowitz), Grandmother Eileen Frebowitz, 
and Aunt Karen Frebowitz. His love of life and people will remain with us all.

The Vegas City Opera was very dear to Evan. He was preparing to assist the organization in a fund raising campaign to support their educational programming.
