It's hard to think of Evan being gone. I still think of him as "one of your kids." You have my greatest sympathy. We are not supposed to bury our children.

I'm so sorry to hear about your loss. May your memories comfort your heart; and God help the McNeely family during this time of sorrow. Isa.41:13

It is so hard to believe you're gone. I can almost hear your voice sometimes.
You were such a gentleman in the hospital, so uncomplaining and courageous, so grateful for everything. And still making jokes. In that, you were an example to us all.
Wherever you are, there is consolation in knowing you will never worry again, never feel pain or disappointment. There is consolation, too, in knowing that, in life, you found your inner funnyman. You killed it onstage, you made them laugh, you had those moments of exhilaration.
Rest well.
