Evan Paul Washington, Jr.

A funeral service for Evan Paul Washington, Jr. will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 4, 2024, in the chapel of Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Marksville with Father Abraham Varghese officiating. Burial will be at St. Richards Catholic Church Cemetery in Hickory Hill. 

Evan Paul Washington, Jr., age 55, of Marksville, entered into rest on Thursday, April 25, 2024. He was born in Pineville, Louisiana, on March 15, 1969, to Essa and Evan Washington, Sr. 

He was preceded in death by his grandparents on his mother’s side; Thomas and Annie Mae Hayes, and his grandparents on his father’s side; Alton and Ola Washington. 

Those left to cherish his memory are his mother, Essa Mae Washington of Marksville, La; father, Evan Paul Washington, Sr., of Marksville, La; two sons, Kennzell Paul Washington (29) of Alexandria, La, and Malcolm Jamal Washington (27) also of Alexandria, La. Two sisters; Sarah E. Washington Smith Gilbert (Farrell) of Beamont, Tx. and Loretta Washington Taylor of Humble, Tx. Two brothers; Nick Washington (Lori) of Marksville, La., and Mark Washington of Mansura, La. Three grandchildren; Haley Washington, Morgan Washington and Floria Washington. 

Visitation will begin at 8:00 a.m. Saturday, May 4, 2024 , lasting until time of service. 

Active Pallbearers will be Nick Washington, Kennzell Paul Washington, Charles James Greer, Robert Ford, Anthony Yancy, Lenard Ford, David Junior Ford. 

Honorary Pallbearers will be Brad Augustine, Alfonso Augustine, Evan Washington, Sr, Shannon Washington.
