Leonard Raymond (Jack) Minton, age 84, passed away on October 8, 2025 peacefully in his home in Winner, South Dakota. Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 16, 2025 from 10:00am-12:00pm at the Mason Funeral Home in Winner, SD. Graveside service will be held on Friday, October 17, 2025 at 12:00pm at the North Dakota Veterans Cemetery near Mandan, North Dakota.

Jack was born to Leonard Raymond Minton, Sr. and Olga (Smidesang) Minton on October 20, 1940 in Rapid City, South Dakota. Jack's mother, Olga, later married Glenn Bradford and they resided in Rapid City raising their blended family, 2 boys (Jack and Bill) and 2 girls (Donna Mae and Glenda).

Jack served in the Navy and was stationed in San Diego, California. After his service, he earned his degree at Black Hills State University in business administration. He was a nursing home administrator in North Dakota for many years and retired from the State of North Dakota Economic Development Commission, which took him all over the world.

In 1966, Jack married Elezebeth Lantz. They lived in South Dakota and North Dakota and had one child, Catherine.

In 1975, Jack married Irene (Sorch) and they resided their entire married life in Bismarck, North Dakota.

Jack enjoyed woodworking, carpentry and restoring vintage cars. He would often have Cathy in his workshop when she visited, making her doll house furniture and building things out of wood. They also spent many hours washing, buffing and waxing his cars.

Jack is survived by his daughter Catherine (Douglas) Ducheneaux, his grandchildren, Nathan, Jackson, Nancy, Tracy and Bryan, his sister Glenda, niece Pam and his dear friend and caregiver, DeAnne Woods.

He was preceded in death by his wife Irene, his sister Donna Mae and his parents, Leonard, Olga and Glenn.
