With deep love and heavy hearts, our family announces the passing of Evangelina Esther Gutierrez-Gonzalez, who went home to the Lord on November 19, 2025, at the age of 82. Born on September 24, 1943, in Magnolia Park and a longtime resident of Houston, Texas, Evangelina lived a life defined by faith, hard work, and unwavering devotion to her family &
A woman who could get along with anyone, Evangelina had a gift for kindness. She was known for her generous heart, her willingness to help anyone in need, and her role as a quiet but steady pillar in her community. She embraced every challenge with determination and grace.
Her hands were always busy and full of purpose. Evangelina was a talented hairdresser in her business of Esther G's Beauty Salon, a beautiful choir singer, and a deeply prayerful woman, proudly involved as a Guadalupana member at Immaculate Heart of Mary. She was also a hardworking business owner, running Pueblo Leasing with strength and dedication.
Sewing brought her joy, and she loved relaxing with her favorite novelas and Western movies. Casinos were her fun escape, a place where she could laugh, enjoy herself, and live a little boldly.
Evangelina's life was guided by faith, love, and resilience. She leaves behind a legacy of compassion, strength, and unity-a legacy that will continue through everyone who had the honor of knowing her.
Her memory will forever live in our hearts, and her spirit will continue to inspire us every day
Evangelina is preceded in death by Daughter, Aurelia G. Lemoine. She is survived by her beloved family which includes: Two Daughters, Aida J. Gonzalez, Adelfa E. Gonzalez; Two Granddaughters, Adelfa A. Salinas, Mercedes A. Salinas, Grandson, Daniel G. Lemoine, and numerous friends, family, nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held Thursday, December 4, 2025, 10:00 am - 11:00 am at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church, Houston, Texas.
A Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, December 4, 2025, 11:00 am at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church. Rite of Committal will follow.

Our sincerest heartfelt condolences to our dear cousin Esther Evangelina´s (Lina) family. Lina will always be remembered fondly for her warm fun loving nature and tell it like it is words of wisdom and encouragement . As the oldest of the Gutierrez cousins she was a role model for seeking out life´s adventure and for being an entrepreneur by opening up her very own beauty salon. I will never forget being one of her hair styling models as she prepared for her state licensing. Our conversations no matter what, were always filled with a bit of storytelling about our grandmother´s family in Mexico that she got to live with for awhile; those conversations always ended with an assurance that she loved us and was praying for us.
May she rest in peace...she will be remembered fondly.
