Evangeline "Vangie" D. (Lindberg) Levy, 74, of Worcester passed away Thursday, December 2 at UMASS Medical Center. She leaves three children, Richard Levy and his fiancée, Melissa Culpepper of Tampa, FL, Roger Levy and his wife, Sarah of Worcester, and Rachel Warbet and her husband, Matthew of New City, NY and the lights of her life, her eight grandchildren, Zachary, Joshua, Olivia, Avery, Aiden, Talia, Carter and Hudson and several dear cousins. She was born in Worcester, daughter of Carl A. and Alice E. (Dickson) Lindberg and graduated from Commerce High School and later in her life, Salter School. Vangie was an assisted living activity director for over 20 years at Tatnuck Park and Christopher Heights, retiring two years ago. She loved caring for the residents and had a selfless love for her job. Prior to that she worked for 15 years in the family business, State Tire King as a bookkeeper. Vangie had a great love for nature. She enjoyed birdwatching and was a horticultural expert. She could identify any flower or bird and lovingly cared for dogs and cats throughout her life. She loved to cook for her family, especially on holidays and celebrations. Vangie had a keen appreciation for music. She sang in choruses since she was a child and the Melody Makers later in life, played the piano and harp. She was an avid Red Sox fan and lover of Cape Cod. Evangeline had a kind heart, was a loving and caring person and will be missed by her family and friends. Funeral Services are private. Dear Family: I was so saddened to hear of Vangie's passing from a mutual friend today. I worked with Vangie many years at Tatnuck Park and Christopher Heights. Vangie was looking for an activity directors job and I told her to apply at Christopher Heights and the rest was history. She had such a love and excitement for life and for all the residents she came in contact with. Last time we spoke was in September and she was excited to be going home and back to New England. Vangie was never at a loss for conversation of which there were many. She will be forever missed and not forgotten. I have wonderful memories of the years and times we spent together. My prayers and blessings to you all at this difficult time.

I've known Vangie since Greendale where I used to go over her house after school on Paul St. The last time I saw her was at our 50th High School reunion and we kept in touch on fb from time to time. It was very sad to see that she had pass and my heartfelt sympathy go out to you all. May her memory be eternal.
Sincerely, Patty Dahrooge Pignataro

Richard, Roger and Rachel,
I was deeply saddened to here of the passing of your mother. How ironic and cruel that a lady so full of life could leave us so quickly. It was always very obvious that Vangie loved, adored and respected her children. You meant the world to her. We will miss Vangie at any future family gatherings. Certainly times will be quieter and less jovial without fun-loving Vangie in the mix. May she Rest In Peace and may your broken hearts heal with time.
Peace Always, Dennis Fenton

Dearest Richie , Roger, Rachel and loving family . It is with a heavy heart I write this note to pay tribute to my dear friend Vangie. I have so very many fond memories of her throughout the years , We kept in touch texting or chatting on the phone since she moved to Florida . She loved her family and spending time with each one of them. She loved her residents wherever she was working and made many happy memories for all that she touched. She has left mark on the hearts and lives of many .

I was so fortunate to work with Vangie and Rachel at Tatnuck Park. She was so caring and kind. Sending condolences to her children and grandchildren who I know she was so proud of and loved more than anything.

I am so sorry to her family for their loss. Vangie was a wonderful person. My parents bought her families home and she would love to say "I slept in her old room". My dad grew up across the street so they were old "buddies".I would see Vangie at Christopher Heights when I would visit clients for my job. She would love to tell the residents she has know me my whole life.
I hope she found my dad in heaven and they are reminiscing together ❤
