Evelina Sardinha

Evelina Sardinha, 95, of Fall River, wife of the late Manuel Sardinha, passed away on Saturday, November 8, 2025.

Born in Lagoa, St. Michael, Azores, she was the daughter of the late Jose A. Silva and the late Irene Botelho Silva.

Evelina LOVED the quality time she spent with her family, especially her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She loved cooking and watching her novelas.

She was the loving mother to Eduardo Gonçalves and his wife Alda, of Fall River, Guilherme Gonçalves and his wife Claire of Westport, David Goncalves and his wife Irene, of Fall River, Emmanuel Gonçalves and his partner Ana Maria of Fall River, Carlos Gonçalves and his partner Maria Maralen, of Swansea, Fernando Gonçalves and his wife Ana, of Swansea, Fátima Moniz and her husband Antonio, of Fall River, Mariana Miguel and her husband Tony, of Swansea, and Helena Oliveira and her husband Humberto, of Swansea.

She leaves behind a legacy of 21 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren. She was the sister of Armando Silva, Eduardo Silva, Maria Ines Machado and Judite Silva. She was predeceased by her son Jose Sardinha and her brother Jose Silva.

Her Funeral will be held on Friday, November 14, 2025 at 9:00 AM from the Silva-Faria Funeral Home, 730 Bedford St., Fall River, with a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated in Saint Anthony of Padua Church at 10:00 AM. Her visitation will also take place on Friday morning, November 14, 2025 in the Silva-Faria Funeral Home from 8:00-9:30 AM. Committal and Interment in St. Patrick's Cemetery.
