Evelyn Sabina Anderson, 92, passed away on January 27, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of love, generosity, and treasured memories. Born in the North End of Boston to Sabino and Grace Pinelli, Evelyn grew up in a close-knit and loving Italian family. She was predeceased by her cherished siblings, Michael and Grace, and is survived by her sister, Mildred Campo, with whom she shared a lifelong bond.
Evelyn faced life's joys and hardships with remarkable strength. After the passing of her first husband, Joseph Melino, in 1974, she met life's challenges with resilience and grace, always putting her family at the center of her world. She later married David Anderson, who predeceased her in 1992.
A devoted mother, Evelyn dedicated her life to her two sons and their families, Joseph Melino and his wife Mary, and Gary Melino. She raised her children with unwavering love, compassion, and a quiet strength that guided them throughout their lives.
Evelyn experienced profound joy as a grandmother. She deeply cherished her granddaughters, Arielle Zonfrelli and her husband Anthony, and Ashley Allwurden and her husband Sean. Her pride in them was endless; her eyes always sparkled when she spoke of their accomplishments, milestones, and the happiness they brought her.
Those who knew Evelyn will remember her as a generous and loving woman-quick to laugh, eager to share stories, and always ready to brighten any room with her warm presence. She offered kindness effortlessly and made all who knew her feel welcomed, supported, and cared for. Her gentle spirit, her generosity, and the compassion she showed to others were the hallmarks of her life.
Her children and grandchildren were her greatest joy, and the love she poured into her family will continue to inspire and guide them. Evelyn's kind heart, enduring spirit, and the warmth she brought into the world will be deeply missed by all who loved her.
May her memory be a blessing.
