Evelyn Bailey

Evelyn Bailey was a delight to know. May she rest in peace in the arms of the Lord with Scott Field beside her. God bless all the family Esther Bell

Evelyn was a lovely lady that I only knew for the last nine years of her life, through Betty Ann Cody's study groups at St. Mark's. I remember especially her wonderful sense of humor and her stories of her codebreaking in Washington during World War II. I'm so happy to have known her for even a short while.

The Daughters of the Republic of Texas, Alamo Mission Chapter, are saddened by the loss of our friend and fellow member, Evelyn Bailey. She lived a life reflecting her love and generous spirit. Evelyn will be memorialized in the DRT records in Austin and here in San Antonio, for all time. Eternal rest grant on to her Oh Lord.

I read about your mom and was sorry to hear of her passing. All of us in Lucette's kindergarten class continue to remember Lucette, your dad and mom, and you and Nick with very fond memories. Is death the end of it all? Psalms:37:29 say that "The righteous will possess the earth and they will live forever upon it." That means that there is the hope of being reunited with Evelyn again right here on the earth.
