Evelyn Boven

Evelyn Boven, age 94, of Hudsonville, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday, October 26, 2025. She was preceded in death by her husband, Kerwin Boven; great granddaughter, Grace Boven. She is survived by her children, Sandy and Al Wychers, Keith and Pam (Hein) Boven, Bonnie and Steve Schrotenboer, Greg and Ruth (Hoekwater) Boven, Mike and Lori (Schut) Boven, Beth and Scott Vander Kolk; 15 grandchildren; 34 great grandchildren; brother, James DeHaan; many nieces, nephews, cousins and special friends and staff at Sunset Manor. Evelyn and Kerwin were charter members of Immanuel Christian Reformed Church. Her greatest joy in life was her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She enjoyed spending time in God's creation, being an avid runner and walker. Funeral services for Evelyn will be held on Wednesday, October 29, at 11:00 A.M. at Immanuel Christian Reformed Church, 3520 Kiel St. Hudsonville, MI 49426, with Pastor Hank Vlaardingerbroek officiating. Interment Georgetown Cemetery. Visitation will be held at VanderLaan Funeral Home on Tuesday, October 28, from 4 to 7 P.M. and at Immanuel CRC on Wednesday, October 29, from 10 to 11 A.M. Memorial contributions may be made to Faith Hospice.
