Evelyn Cordero-Izquierdo

Evelyn Cordero-Izquierdo, 69 of North Whitehall, PA, passed away on Sunday, March 15, 2026, at Lehigh Valley Hospital - Cedar Crest Campus in Allentown, PA. Born August 23, 1956, in Lajas, Puerto Rico, she was the daughter of the late Gregorio Izquierdo-Alvarado and the late Julia Velez-Concepcion. She was one of 16 children and the wife of Jose M. Cordero, with whom she shared 30 years of marriage. 

Evelyn worked for the New York City Police Department before retiring in 2002. She was of the Catholic Faith. 

Surviving along with her husband Jose is a daughter, Evelyn Rivera, Stepson, Joseph Cordero and wife Deborah, grandchildren; Jason and Gabriella Cordero, along with 12 of her siblings, beloved sisters-in-law, and countless nieces and nephews.

 Evelyn found joy in the beauty of nature and carried that same gentle care into the way she loved her family. Her kindness, warmth, and unwavering devotion to those she loved will never be forgotten. 

Family and friends may gather on Saturday March 21, 2026, from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM prior to the Prayer Service at 2:00 PM all will be held at the Schisler Funeral Home, 2119 Washington Ave. Northampton, PA 18067.
