Evelyn Hebert Pourciau Allen passed away on Tuesday, October 28, 2025 at the age of 96. She was born in Mangham, LA and a resident of Kenner, LA.
She graduated from Kenner High School Class of 1947. Retired from Whitney Bank in 1974 and was a life member of First Baptist Church of Kenner.
Beloved wife of George Jhon Allen by second marriage and the late Wilbert Joseph Pourciau by first marriage. Eveyln was the daughter of the late Verlie Evelyn Gilley and John Merle Herbert. Sister of the late John M. Hebert, Jr. Grandmother to Kerry and Paul Mazzaro.
Evelyn was preceeded in death by her loving husbands, her son Dennis Eugene Pourciau and her daughter Sandra Diane Pourciau Mazzaro.
She is survived by her Daughter-in-law Brenda Pourciau Miranda and her "boys"Kerry (Melissa) Mazzaro and Paul (Karyn) Mazzaro. Great grandchildren Tyler (Jenna) Mazzaro, Jordan ( Sarah), Mazzaro, Carter Mazzaro, Montgomery Mazzaro and Marietta Evelyn Mazzaro and her beautiful great great granddaugher Mackenzie Mae Mazzaro.
Evelyn, who was lovingly called Rosie, was first and foremost a God fearing woman. She loved the Lord and was bold in her faith. She never shied away of witnessing that faith whether it be through an act of service, or a meal at her kitchen table. Rosie never met a stranger and would give you the shirt off her back. Her doors were always open to her many visitors. She loved having company and Sunday dinners after church. She was a spitfire who never stopped moving. She had more energy than her youngest grandchild. The most important thing after her faith was her family and friends. She loved fiercely and unconditionally. You always knew where you stood with Rosie. She had a smile that would like up a room, or her beloved casino. She loved to travel and always loved an adventure. Some of her favorite adventures was traveling to Northwest Indiana in the fall to visit her boys. She loved to see the leaves change color. Rosie always made you feel like you were the most important person in the room. She always wanted to spread kindness and love to the world and wanted everyone to do the same.
