Evie made a positive difference in the lives of hundreds of children who were fortunate to be in her kindergarten classes. She was a very caring educator who nurtured her kindergartners. She and Ken have been active participants of the Goldwood retired staff luncheon get togethers where many fond memories of school stories have been shared. Sending prayers to Ken and the Hutton family for your loss.

Every town has that one kindergarten teacher. There are probably several people who teach kindergarten, but among them there is one who stands out. Whether you had her for class or not, she's the one who follows your progress from grade school, to Jr. High, to High School, college, and beyond. She runs into your parents at the grocery store and checks in on you, every time. That was Mrs. Hutton.
Mrs. Hutton will be sorely missed. I join with all the families from River who can't believe she is gone...and with all the kids who can't quite believe she had a first name.
Thank you for everything, Mrs. Hutton.

River lost a dynamic person. She was our daughter Becki's kindergarten teacher. We will always remember her kindness and wonderful understanding. She was a dear friend. Remembering the wonderful and fun Christmas dinner parties at our home. Ken, you have our deepest sympathies and prayers for you and your family. RIP Evie we'll miss you! Bob and Helen Porter Family

She was the best teacher in Rocky River! Our children got a fantastic start in education thanks to Evie. I can still see the handprints of every student on her skirt she made every year for her open house. She often called us years after the kids graduated to see how and what they were doing!
A very special lady will be missed by many. Enjoy the little ones in heaven Evie!!
Thoughts and prayers to the family with our condolences.

So many great memories of Aunt Evie. We always had a special bond because her birthday was just 2 days after mine. Many holidays spent together since we lived right around the corner from her, my Uncle Ken and cousin Scott.

I loved her from the moment we met when my daughter, Laura, had her for Kindergarten at Beach School! Evie and I remained close friends from then on. My son, Rob (Bobby) had her two years later. She was an awesome teacher and friend.
Rest eternal grant her dear Lord, and may light perpetual shine upon her. My prayers are with Ken and her entire Family during this time.

I am so sorry to hear of "Aunt Evie's" passing. She was so sweet and kind and a devoted wife, mother, mother-in-law, and grandmother. I pray that God gives you strength during this difficult time and helps you keep all the good, life long memories in your hearts.
